Bobby Jindal, Still Not Presidential Material

I swear I will not embarrass the great state of Louisiana on a national stage.

I swear I will not embarrass the great state of Louisiana on a national stage.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ruffled feathers abroad and at home last month with his anti-Muslim rhetoric and proposed higher education cuts. Turns out all those ruffled feathers did little to nothing to rouse voters. It appears the 43-year-old Republican might be closing tent on his 2016 presidential aspirations before the big circus begins. Color me shocked.

Jindal is a man who, first and foremost, believes his own bullshit. On No-Go Zones, the need for more cuts and less taxes, you name it. Bobby Jindal believes Bobby Jindal is the man the Bible God has ordained to lead our troubled nation. The problem: his two “part-time” tours of gubernatorial duty have equated to one large dumpster fire.

Why should Jindal stay on the sidelines of the 2016 presidential race? Glad you asked. Here is my Storify document counting the ways.

  1. It is true that Jindal is never available for a meeting, even one for 5 or 10 minutes but seems to be available always for a TV shot.

Though I would agree I do not believe he is prepared for POTUS, he would probably make a good Secretary of the Interior or similar cabinet position.

I am so glad we no longer have the crying woman Kathleen Blanco who stationed the LA National Guard 100 miles away from New Orleans and then did not order them into the city and all hell broke loose and completely mismanaged the Katrina-Rita response.

I am also glad that Jindal revamped the charity hospital system and put them under LSU Medical to give them the best new doctors to do their internships and treat those in need, rather than have the old system where some patients died in the waiting room, not receiving attention for over 16 hours.

Overall, Jindal has been good for Louisiana, but is NOT Ready for Prime Time. Maybe serving a term or two as U.S. Senator, a cabinet position, then in about 16 to 20 years….maybe.

    1. Cajun Patriot: So you would give Jindal flying colors because he’s not Blanco the Basketcase (admittedly not a high bar to clear) and he’s revamped the charity system (but is currently staring down hundreds of millions in health care cuts)? I don’t understand your logic. Maybe you if cited more examples I’d see more of the light.

Warren: Anders Behring Breivik, the greatest mass murderer in European history, was not a Muslim. His actions didn’t lead Bobby Jindal to condemn Christianity as a violent, hate-filled religion. Truth is, Jindal should not be condemning billions for the actions of a few. Participating in such war-mongering goes against the Christian principles he claims to follow.

      1. I did not, nor do I, give Jindal flying colors for much of anything. But he is correct about Islam.

Because there are “moderate Islamists” who do not obey the Koran, do not live by its instructions and do not follow the example of Mohammad and Ali, nor their many children, but have “westernized” their Islam, does that mean we cannot judge the murderers of children today, and murderers of women today, and rapers of men and women today, in the name of Allah and Mohammad ?

I have seen the carnage wrecked by Muslims and fought them, losing close friends and colleagues. I doubt you have ever been to Iraq, or Afghanistan, and I doubt you lost loved ones in the Twin Towers or in battle against them, maybe so, but I doubt it. You can sit there on your blog and defend Islamists and say it is a small group doing this, but you are deceived. They are doing exactly what they are taught by their imams and they are instructed to do throughout their Koran.

        1. CajunPatriot: Jindal is/was wrong about No-Go Zones. Fox News has apologized for its comments about No-Go Zones. Who is saying “moderate Islamists” (your phrase) are committing these acts? The actions of radical Muslims – whether groups or individuals – who commit murder, rape, or any other felonious wrongs against others should be condemned. I don’t intend to get in an argument with you. Your assertion I am defending “Islamists” shows you are not interested in my opinion. The post is about Jindal. You addressed comments I made toward someone else and ignored my comments toward you.

          1. You have shown your ignorance of the Koran, and of the Bible. At least one you should know at least fairly well since you advance yourself as a expert to run a blog and make comments about each. Yes, Jindal was wrong stating there were “No Go Zones” in Europe existed at this time, which he was certainly implying and/or stating. They have been advocated by many westernized Muslims, along with their more Koran-adhering counterparts.

I don’t know of any terrorists in the world today who are not Muslim. Sure, all Muslims are not terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim.

Jindal was wrong, but not as wrong as Obama has been and has been unanimously slapped down by SCOTUS 9 times, even by the leftist jurists and by majority 4 more times. Obama, who was an instructor of the U.S. Constitution, has violated it violently numerous times and has been rebuked by SCOTUS for doing so.

Jindal has much more experience and credential than Obama did and does. Jindal balances a budget, Obama never has. Jindal did not force anyone to buy something, Obama has. Obama lied to us that we could keep our doctors. Obama lied to us that Obamacare would reduce our medical costs and save us several thousand dollars a year. It costs me much more. Jindal does not want to raise taxes on us who live in Louisiana, Obama does. As much as we already pay in taxes, we do not need to pay more.

          2. CajunPatriot: Google Anders Behring Breivik or Adam Lanza. Or go back a bit and look up Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. Not all who commit terrorist acts are Muslims. It boils down to how one defines an act of terror. Killing dozens of civilians, regardless your race, religion, ideological views, etc., makes you a terrorist. Terror should not be synonymous with one religion or group. For instance, the Ku Klux Klan has committed terrorist acts throughout its history. I doubt it has many, if any, Muslim members. Pointing this out does not make me a sympathizer for people who would seek to harm others. It means, rather, I don’t subscribe to your black and white brushstrokes on the word terrorist being synonymous with Muslims.

I don’t profess myself an expert on anything. You bestowed that title upon me. Have you read the Koran? Page by page, line by line? I have not. I have read the Bible. My experience reading the Bible tells me it is pretty easy to lift a line or two to support your worldview. I imagine the Koran is similar – for better or worse.

As for comparing Jindal to Obama that’s a moot point. Try comparing Jindal to other Republican presidential candidates. Jindal will not be running against Obama in 2016, if Jindal chooses to run (which looks unlikely). As for Jindal not wanting to raise taxes that is all fine and good. The money has to come from other sources – say, budget cuts to higher education and now health care. At day’s end someone has to pay.

          3. You missed my central point. The idea one person can kill dozens of people and not be considered a terrorist is absurd. They are terrorizing people.

Hitler murdered millions of Jews. He terrorized people based on their religion. You can call him a murderer or a mass murderer. He’s also a terrorist. Just because he wasn’t a Muslim doesn’t change the facts.

None of this has anything to do with Bobby Jindal’s incorrect statements or his desire to put his White House aspirations above the state he supposedly represents.

  2. I’ve lived on Da Bayou all my life. I support Jindal and his statements on Islam, though he was premature on his part about No Go Zones. Those zones are proposed, though not instituted yet.

Europe today is experiencing unintended consequences for importing Muslims to do the work they did not want to do and creating what may be a permanent under class. To support and attract these Muslims, from north Africa and other locales, they offered cradle to grave social programs to which many of this now underclass is addicted.

Was it Christians, Hindus, Parsees, Jains, Buddhists, or Shintoists bombing cars in Paris, disrupting Versailles, and numerous other cities and towns in Europe the past few years?
Was it those who follow the “Bible God” or Jesus Christ who have cut off heads of children and women, following the dictates of their “prophet” and pedophile murderer Muhammad? No, of the terrorism in the world today, Muslims at the root of it, and have been for years. The founders of this great republic despised Mohammedans with great cause. Barbary Pirates were the scourge of the earth, the dregs of mankind, barely able to be discerned as human for the inhuman and atrocious crimes they committed against merchant marines, trade ships, and navies.

Great world renowned leaders, include Charles Martel and Vlad the Impaler, who knew how the defeat the professional armies of Islam. We need some of these today to stand up to Islam, which is not a religion, but is a philosophy of world domination.

  3. Yes, I have read through the Koran entirely line by line, word by word twice with the help of translators in Iraq and parts of it a third and fourth time in an effort to understand the demented mentally of death which permeates Islam. I did discover that celebration of a culture of death was entrenched in the Koran. Also, I have read the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book perhaps a dozen times or more by now. I own 8 versions of the Bible and 2 of the Koran.

With your loose definition of terrorism, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, and numerous other commmunist dictators would qualify, which is absurb and ignorant. They were murderers, and mass murderers but not terrorists.

To help minimize your ignorance, I am providing just a small sample of a list you will find at the site….

    Islamic Terror Attacks on Christians
    (Since 9/11)

This is a list of targeted acts of terrorism on Christian civilians and church workers by religious Muslims since September 11th, 2001. These attacks have nothing to do with war, combat or insurgency. The victims are innocent Christians who were specifically targeted and abused solely on account of their faith by those who claim their own religion as a motive.

There may be a few anomalies on the list, as it is compiled by keyword search from our main database. Neither is this a complete account of Islamic terror attacks on Christians since much of the violence goes unreported.
